The old building Villa Wassermann was built by the architect Josef Frank in 1915. Josef Frank (* 15.07.1885, Baden near Vienna; † 8.01.1967, Stockholm) was an Austrian architect. Together with Oskar Strand he created the Vienna School of Architecture, which represented its own concept of the modernity of houses, apartments and interiors.
 
 
VPH Vienna acquired Paul-Ehrlichgasse 4 in 2016. Since summer 2018 the building has been approved and the construction has started. The aim of the object is to unite the history, the breathtaking existing and protected architecture monument (monument protected architecture) with its contemporary standard and a modern new building.
